Another week of SUSP is in the books! It has been a great two weeks with immense progress on my experiment.

This week, I got approval of my experiment from OSF Preregistration. This is great news as my project progresses and gets closer to data analysis.

On the topic of getting close to data analysis, I also got my project ready to run on Qualtrics. It is ready to link to Amazon Mechanical Turk (mTurk) to have online participants take my study. This will be taking place in the next couple of weeks, giving me preliminary data.

I also made progress on specifics of the experiment, as in, I changed the title. Thus, my current project I am working on and manuscript in progress is below.

This week, as a means to expand my involvement with research, I also wrote a mini-paper discussing the neurocircuitry of anxiety and general brain regions involved in anxiety (Hartley & Phelps, 2012; Richards et al., 2015; Steinglass et al., 2017). I also connected my research to current media by sharing with the group the infographic to the right (Scheller, 2014) as well as a few others.

Apart from my specific experiment, I have also progressed on my pursuit of graduate school. I have been active in studying using my Kaplan GRE book, flashcards, and online resources. I'm officially signed up to take the GRE in August. Apart from studying for the GRE, I have also researched specific programs. I think I have decided on Health Psychology as my discipline in graduate school. I'm so excited about this discovery and the upcoming progress toward graduate school.

Overall, I am so proud of my work in the SUSP program and I look forward to the upcoming weeks of research--as well as the more distant, but quickly approaching, future of my education and research endeavors.
